Quantum materials defy our textbook understanding of solid state physics via strong electron-electron interactions, unpredicted emergent electronic phases, or manifesting novel properties via long-range quantum entanglement instead of symmetry breaking. Some of the material systems my group investigates include:
- Cuprate high temperature superconductors
- Topological insulators and superconductors
- Dirac and Weyl semimetals
- Magnetic materials
- 2D materials
- Correlated electron systems
- Charge density wave materials
